Here are the key details about the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) scheme in Tamil Nadu:

Eligibility:

In Tamil Nadu, the following categories are eligible for PM-JAY:

Rural families identified based on Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data

Urban families with yellow ration cards

Implementation:

The scheme is being implemented by the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Society under the National Health Mission, Tamil Nadu.

Empaneled Hospitals:

As of March 2023, a total of 1,056 hospitals (367 public and 689 private) have been empaneled under PM-JAY in Tamil Nadu. Some major empaneled hospitals include:

Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (Chennai)

Government Multi Super Specialty Hospitals

Government Medical College Hospitals

District Headquarters Hospitals

Private:

Apollo Hospitals (Chennai, Madurai, Trichy etc.)

MIOT Hospitals (Chennai)

Kauvery Hospitals (Trichy, Salem, Chennai)

Rela Institute & Medical Centre (Chennai)

PM-JAY Beneficiary Numbers:

As per the National Health Authority dashboard, around 79.6 lakh PM-JAY beneficiary families have been identified in Tamil Nadu as of March 2023.

The state has a robust network of empaneled public and private hospitals across districts to provide cashless treatment up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year to eligible PM-JAY beneficiaries.
