Here are the key details about the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) scheme in Assam:

Eligibility:

In Assam, the following categories are eligible for PM-JAY:

Rural families identified based on Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data

Urban families with yellow/pink/blue ration cards

Implementation:

The scheme is being implemented by the Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society under the National Health Mission, Assam.

Beneficiary Identification:

Eligible families are being identified and their data is being updated by carrying out an Intensive Household Survey across the state.

Empaneled Hospitals:

As of March 2023, a total of 627 hospitals (227 public and 400 private) have been empaneled under PM-JAY in Assam. Some major empaneled hospitals include:

Gauhati Medical College and Hospital

Assam Medical College and Hospital

Silchar Medical College and Hospital

Jorhat Medical College and Hospital

Private:

Hayat Hospital (Guwahati)

Downtown Hospital (Guwahati)

GNRC Hospitals (Multiple cities)

Sight Life (Guwahati)

PM-JAY Beneficiary Numbers:

As per the National Health Authority dashboard, around 63.5 lakh PM-JAY beneficiary families have been identified in Assam as of March 2023.

The state is working on 100% verification and issuance of PM-JAY e-cards to all eligible families. Beneficiaries can check their eligibility and locate empaneled hospitals on the website (pmjay.gov.in) or mobile app.
